NEW WORK: Barley There Creations
Last year I wrapped up working on the BrisStyle Mentorship Program. The program was sponsored by the Brisbane City Council and offered 15 lucky makers the opportunity to undertake an 20 week program where they would receive support for mentors across a range of different small business specialties.
This was my third year of mentoring in the program and I had an absolute blast teaching about styling, shooting and editing and having one on one photo sessions with each of the participants.
I’m still working my way through sharing all the images I created with the participants and today I’m sharing the images from @bearlytherecreations. Felicity is a textile artist and creates all types of beautiful things. For this shoot we focused on her felt food creations.
Felicity had a vision for this shoot, she was inspired by some dark and moody real food photography and wanted to recreate it. Dark, moody food photography was a bit outside my usual style but I was up for the challenge!
I actually love the way these images came out. I really enjoyed playing with a darker aesthetic and I can’t believe how food-like the felt creations look! Check out my favourite images below:
