New Work: Emily Joyce Designs

This was another one of my mini sessions with the talented makers in the BrisStyle entrepreneurship program.

In this session we decided to experiment with some different ‘looks’ to help Emily define her visual style. We’ve captured some light airy images as well as some more moody minimalist images, were we experimented with shadow and shape.

I loved photographing these mini sessions - it was a really an exercise in creativity. As the makers arrived with their products we set about picking and choosing items from the set and prop collection and assembling a scene. It was a very different experience to my ‘regular’ product shoots (which are meticulously planned out weeks prior to shooting) In contrast these mini sessions felt like a freeing exercise in play and creativity - each shoot was a surprise!
