NEW WORK: MOOSEY MOOSE
This is a shoot that I completed late last year. It was something a little different for me as I don’t often work with clothing products. The thing about this product that really reeled me in was that the rompers Grow as the child does. This concept of growth was something that the owner of Moosey Moose really wanted to portray visually. I was excited by this brief and keen to challenge myself to see what I could create.
The first growth concept was for a banner image for the Moosey Moose website. This banner shows the Blue romper in its contracted, middle and expanded state with age appropriate toys beneath each image to show the different stages of growth.
The next growth concept used the sand colour romper and a gardening theme. In this series of images we show the romper in several states of growth with a plant growing from a seedling to a full fledged flower beside it - I think this one might be my favourite!
The final growth concept tracks a full year of a child's growth by moving through the seasons of the year. We start with a baby born in summer, then a 3 - 6 month old in autumn, a 6 - 9 month old in winter and finish the year with a 9 - 12 month old in Spring. I love the story telling aspect to this concept and it was a lot of fun to put together (it also made me a bit clucky as I shopped for all the tiny little shoes and hats).
To clearly demonstrate just how the rompers grow I also created a stop motion animation in each romper colour, which shows the rompers as they expand and construct.
As part of the project I also created some plain ecommerce images for the Moosey Moose online store. Which featured the rompers in various stages of growth, gift boxes and the Moosey Moose clothing labels which grow into flowers when you plant them!
I really loved this project and this brand. If you’d like to support Moosey Moose you can head on over to their website: www.mooseymoose.com and nab yourself a romper which will last you for years!
